DIG

DIG…

Dig that hole.

Dig them bones.

Scrape that Earth…

Put your body in the ground.

Dine with the worms

Feast with the vermin

Wrap yourself in tree roots and yell your name at Hell

Face down.

In the ground.

Keep digging.

Keep that spade a sharp one

Shine it till it gleams

The soil screams

You’re not done

Until your six feet under.

Walk the labyrinths of the world

Naturally down Skeleton Road

Squirm through the grime of your Mother’s bedroll

Of the spinning world

Dig your soul.

DIG…

Tunnel below the graveyard

The Earthen trails beneath the grass

Withering in the dying autumn

Your rain-soaked sludge-infested heart

That digs beneath your flesh.
