LYRICAL POETRY: You’re So Vital

Imagined as pop song somewhere in between Lady Gaga, Bryan Adams, and The Rolling Stones.

I need you

I want you

I know that I can’t have you

I breathe you

I see you

I die when I dream of you

I’d never leave you

Can I be you?

God knows that I love you

And now I can’t escape you

You’re in the marrow of my bone

On my lips, I think I taste you

I would never waste you

I’m so narrow; now, I’m all alone

And you’re so vital (vital, vital)

You’re so vital (vital, vital, vital)

I’m in the ring

I’m fighting

You’ve got me on the ropes

I was the king

But I’m dying

I’m losing all my hopes

The bell sounds

It’s time

I’m falling out of line

I hit the ground

Like a dime

I stand up on the count of nine

Please, tell me that you’re mine

I’m in the crowd

I’m watching

And you’re holding up the title

Because you’re so vital (vital, vital)

Yeah, you’re so vital (vital, vital, vital)

And now I can’t escape you

You’re in the marrow of my bone

On my lips, I think I taste you

I would never waste you

I’m so narrow; now, I’m all alone

And you’re so vital (vital, vital)

You’re so vital (vital, vital, vital)

I see blood on your lips

Dripping like red wine

You drain me in tiny sips

My heart slips

As you unwind my mind

I’m wading through your water

Being washed out by the tidal

Roar with which you deafen me

But you’re still so vital

And now I can’t escape you

You’re in the marrow of my bone

On my lips, I think I taste you

I would never waste you

I’m so narrow; now, I’m all alone

And you’re so vital (vital, vital)

You’re so vital (vital, vital, vital)

Girl, you know you’re so vital (vital, vital, vital)

You’re so vital…….
